A leading Global bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to manage large local corporate clients in Japan.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Serve as the Account Manager for a designated portfolio of large local corporate clients, developing in-depth relationships and positioning the bank's offerings to meet their strategic needs.
- Lead business development initiatives, identifying cross-selling opportunities across financial products to drive revenue and client profitability.
- Review and assess the profitability of the client portfolio regularly, while also exploring and building relationships with potential new corporate clients.
- Collaborate with international counterparts to ensure a globally integrated client service approach.
- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial banking needs, negotiating effectively and building rapport with key decision-makers.
- Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to manage compliance and maintain high standards.
Required skills
- Fluent in Japanese and proficient in business-level English to effectively communicate with both local and international clients.
- At least 7 years of work experience, preferably in corporate or commercial banking or a related financial field.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities across financial products.
- Experience in managing client relationships, including negotiation and collaboration with key decision-makers.
