Engineering Project Manager
Looking for an experienced engineering project manager for an exclusive client of ours in Shannon, County Clare. The client is an industry leader in the chemical industry with over 40 years experience and is currently undergoing large expansion. The successful candidate will have strong regulated PM experience, leading projects from start to completion. The role will report to the Chief Operations Officer.
Main Duties
- Lead and manage project initiatives within the organisation ensuring alignment of systems, applications and business processes.
- Develop and execute project plans, objectives, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and performance, conducting regular evaluations and making necessary adjustments.
- Establish key partnerships across all departments and stakeholders to ensure project delivery and successful technical transfer into site??
- Manage the financial performance of all project deliveries, including resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that may impact project or business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function, implementing best practice.
- Coach and mentor team members in project management methodologies and principles.
- Provide oversight, validation and tracking of projects, maintain the overall project risk register and provide regular updates on progress.
- Act as the strategic point of contact for all stakeholders, fostering trust, clear communication, and managing expectations and concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Education
- Third level qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably engineering or technical discipline.
- PMP/PRINCE ii or similar project management qualification.

- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within allocated budget.
- Strong project management skills and proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships within the organisation at all levels, as well as externally.
- Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of processes to support project delivery.
- Proven financial management skills with a track record in managing project budgets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
