We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our global tech company in Japan.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnering: Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, providing guidance on all HR matters including organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and employee development.
- Talent Management: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to identify, recruit, and onboard top talent. Support leadership in talent reviews, succession planning, and internal mobility programs.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, manage conflict resolution, and ensure a positive working environment by promoting company values and open communication channels.
- Performance Management: Guide managers and employees through performance appraisal processes, offering insights on career development, promotions, and performance improvement plans.
- HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure that HR policies and practices comply with Japanese labor laws while aligning with global corporate policies. Provide expertise on local employment regulations and ensure best practices.
- Organizational Development: Work on projects that impact overall organizational effectiveness, including leadership development, team-building initiatives, and change management strategies.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in an HRBP or similar strategic HR role, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of Japanese labor laws and employment practices.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese (native level) and English (business level).
