The Senior Buyer manages APAC region spend, supplier negotiations, strategy development, cost optimization, and supplier performance, requiring strong negotiation, sourcing, and Excel skills.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management for APAC region projects.
- Develop and execute category strategies to support company growth and cost optimization.
- Drive cost savings and improve working capital through supplier payment term management.
- Analyze market dynamics and scout new suppliers to support business needs.
- Maintain and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable supply conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly in APAC and Japan, for sourcing decisions.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee regular business performance reviews.
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field;
- Over 5 years of sourcing/procurement experience, particularly with HVAC, electrical, or controls products; fluency in Japanese and English required.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and data analysis skills; proficiency in MS Excel, especially with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Preferred skills
- Master's degree is a plus.
