I am the Operations Director for the Tokyo office and look after our teams handling Accounting & Finance, Human Resources & Information Technology positions for the Tokyo office.

My Advice

Keep an open mind, you never know that what may look like an ok role on paper could be an excellent role in reality. Maintain a professional relationship with your recruitment agent and let them get to know you, so that they can match your needs.

My Background

I joined the Tokyo office in December 2012 as an Associate Director and became Operations Director in 2014. Prior to this, I spent 9 years recruiting for a large Japan-based recruitment firm, joining in their start-up stage and helping develop the company from 20 to over 200 staff. 

I was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, grew-up in both Sweden and the United States and have been in Japan since 1998.  I hold a double Degree in Swedish as well as International Political Economy from the University of Washington in the United States and have also studied Japanese at Bunkyo University in Japan. I am a native English speaker and speak Japanese.
