About Miho Kawana
Specialist Area
I have been in IT recruitment since 2018, and have been a consistent top performer for more than half of my career. I focus on both technical and functional IT roles and optimizing contract staffing solutions. My goal is to understand the core values of both clients and candidates to enable sustainable, long-term relationships.
My Advice
Have an open mind. Being open to a multitude of opportunities is the best way to bring you different perspectives, and to gain more insight on how to advance your career in the best way possible. And if you really want to succeed, activate your inner scholar and do the research and educate yourself on the company and best interview practices. This will help you differentiate yourself from the rest of the candidates! One simple tip for interviews: be engaging and have good active listening skills.
My Background
I come from Vancouver, Canada, where I worked in the travel industry for most of my career before moving to Japan. My recruitment career started with candidate engagement for IT roles, in which I had the pleasure to converse with all kinds of professionals from all industries.
Moving to Morgan McKinley, I now have the chance to connect these professionals (and the ones I meet every day) to the right position and company.
Just like travel, talking about what could come of a new experience is what I like doing the most. Let’s talk about your career journey soon.
