I support London based Accounting Practices in their recruitment specifically within Tax, where these clients are often in the Top 20, or specialist US/UK Tax firms. I’m constantly speaking with excellent Tax Professionals across London in their job search or providing them with hints, LinkedIn tips and CV writing. They tend to be at Tax Associate, studying or part qualified, through to experienced Tax Directors!

Specialist Area

In London, I cover Tax service lines such as Personal Tax, Expatriate Tax, Employment Tax, US/UK Tax and a few more. I mainly work with the Top 20 Accounting Practices and the US Tax Practices in London. I also help in-house businesses with their recruitment into Global Mobility and Employment Taxes too!

My Advice

Aim to complete in-depth research for your interview on the hiring managers, the firm itself, and the role that you are interviewing for. This knowledge will stand you in good stead during your interview and you will also leave a great impression on the hiring managers afterwards. You will also be able to ascertain whether the firm, and people you are meeting, are of interest to you and match your long-term goals. It is also worth asking questions to the hiring managers either regarding themselves or their experience at the firm, what the organisational culture is like, what their 6–12-month expectations are and how the Tax job will develop.

My Background

I graduated in 2017 from Southampton Solent University where I studied a Tourism and Business Management Degree with a year abroad in Salzburg, Austria. Following graduation, I worked for a leading South Coast based Recruitment Agency specialising in Accounting and Finance at a P/Q through to qualified level.

During this 4-year period I covered a wide range of Industry and Practice based clients spanning across the Top 100 Practice list, FTSE listed clients and Blue-Chip businesses. 

I now work for Morgan McKinley in the highly successful Professional Services division as a Senior Recruitment Consultant in Practice Tax Division. I cover service lines such as: Personal Tax, Expatriate Tax, US/UK HNW Tax and Employment Tax. 

My goal is to continue to build out the Morgan McKinley Tax brand in the Professional Services space, ensuring we are the go-to agency in London for candidates and clients alike, whilst providing excellent service and consultancy insight.
